Vidim Fest is a cultural pop-up festival.
Each edition appears in a different city and is formed by its architecture, communities, habits, tensions and cultural weather. For two days, Vidim Fest creates a temporary city inside the city: a place of books, arguments, performances, films, children’s events, chance meetings and discussions that continue elsewhere.
Russian language
Russian is our common language. Europe is our common space.

We do not treat language as a passport, a border, or an oath of loyalty. we use it as a meeting ground — imperfect, contested, alive. We believe that language and culture belong to the people who create them.

Vidim Fest is independent of governments, political parties and political movements.
We stand firmly against the murderous war that Russia is waging against Ukraine and the criminal regime that declared this terrible war.
Futures that might be
The theme of Vidim Fest Valencia 2026 is imagined futures.
Through books, talks, performances, play, irony and experimentation, we explore futures we once believed in, futures we lost, futures imposed on us, and futures we may still be able to invent. Some futures arrive as promises. Some – as threats. Some are inherited, unfinished, damaged or absurd.

The festival takes place at La Petxina, a former slaughterhouse turned into a cultural complex — a setting where the city’s industrial past quietly becomes part of the possible futures.
Vidim Books
Organizer and independent publisher
"Vidim" means "we see" in Russian.
It is also an acronym based on the Russian phrase meaning In the Name of Goodness and Peace —
Во Имя Добра и Мира.

Vidim Fest is organised by Vidim Books, an independent European publisher and cultural organisation.
